Well let's see if I can recap the happenings of the last few months...
Since the last blog we have done lots of ice fishing...we went to a ice fishing derby in Meteetsee where none of us won any money but it was eventful! For those of you who dont know, I am an Operations Coordinator for Wyoming Machinery company's Field Welding department (a.k.a. its a fancy name for dispatcher) and even though it was my weekend the work never stops and I was expected to be answering my phone so...that is what I was doing while standing on a huge chunk of ice :) so anyway the service wasnt that great and I was waiting for a call back because I was sending a guy out to cover some work and I heard my phone, which was in the breast pocket of my coat, so I pulled it out and I was getting ready to check my message but just then my pole started to dip, signaling I had a fish on and I was determined to catch him so I slide my phone back into my breat pocket really quick...realed in my fish, which wasnt very big so I let him go and as I was dropping my line back down in the water...Plop....my phone went too...it had slid out of my pocket and I watched it sink... :( Now anyone who has ever had their phone break or been without it for a few days knows the feeling that I was having...the sinking in my gut as I realize I have just lost all my contacts...all my photos...and I was now not able to hear that message I was previously trying to check so I was freaking out...needless to say...and then, all of a sudden it hit me!!! I DIDNT PAY FOR THIS PHONE AND BECAUSE IT WAS MY WORK PHONE...THEY HAD TO REPLACE IT!!! :) This helped me calm down alot and after that it because a funny story...now I just had to tell the people I work for that I "lost" it... :)
Anyway...I got a new phone and all my contacts where saved because of the work phone mimicing my computer and the only loss was my memory card with all my pictures...so...I dont have any ice fishing pictures but I do have a new phone! :)
Then...lets move on to February, Valentine's Day marked the anniversary of our engagement and that was and always be a special day for us. Then on the 22nd Brody turned 5 and I was going to try and be a crafty parent much like my mom was and I was going to make his cake instead of buy one...so that's what I did...I make him a nerf gun cake...only problem was...when I put it in front of him he said "what is that?" LOL...I think my cake decorating skills need to be refined a bit :)
See...it looks like a nerf gun right?! This was before it was completely finished but close...I think! |
